Yes, most affiliate programs are global programs. Which means, they are open to all (individuals like you) around the world who meet the merchants’ acceptance requirements. Can I use My Link for Self Purchase?

Can I use my affiliate link to purchase an account for myself, the company I work for or any other personal use?

The answer is NO. You have to be careful doing this. You can get banned. Most Affiliate Programs prohibit their affiliates from buying a product using their affiliate links.  This is against most affiliate agreements, which you need to accept when creating an affiliate account with companies running Affiliate Programs.

What Are The Requirements For Becoming An Affiliate?

There are some Affiliate Programs that only accepts affiliates that have websites or blogs relevant to the products they are promoting.

However, generally, most websites or blogs can participate, provided they don’t violate the Terms of Merchant’s Affiliate Agreement. For legal, ethical, and other reasons, most merchants hold the right to refuse certain websites, including websites that contain the following:

  • Pornographic content
  • Direct linking through paid ads
  • Toolbar or forced click traffic
  • Incentives, GPT, or Get Paid To sites
  • Coupons, deals, or discount sites
  • Youth-endangering material
  • Defamation or discrimination against a person or a group of people because of their religion, their race, their handicap, or other reasons
  • Racist or sexist content
  • Intellectual property infringement of others
